you pleasure for the years to come. You probably have some ideas of what you
would like to achieve, based on TV programs, Sunday newspaper supplements,
friends and neighbours gardens, and days out visiting gardens open to the
public. You may well have pulled together a small portfolio of the plants you
would like to grow, the patio furniture that you will lounge on during those
heady summer evenings.........

What we do
We realise your ambition, be that an ornamental fish
pond, a pergola or a complete multi levelled garden landscape.

Step one is to listen to you, hear what you want to
achieve, hear what the garden will be used for, and how much time you
will have for regular routine maintenance. We want to find out if you
are a gardener or a garden owner.

Secondly we want to swap ideas, and gauge your reaction
to thought provoking concepts, this will start to enable us to build a
profile of a garden design and of your personal design needs.

We form a final proposed garden design and quotation for the
works, materials and plant supply which we discuss with you and agree
with you.

At order placement a schedule will be agreed for the
start date of the project and expected finish date.

We will carry out the works and supply in accordance
with the agreed order. As the project progresses we invite your
comments and views, we want you to be part of the realisation.

Our people will be working on a
construction site in a residential environment. They will work in a tidy
manner wherever possible and will leave the site tidy at the days
end. We will be respectful to your neighbours and respectful of
plot boundaries.

Garden
Design,
Garden Landscaping and groundwork
Garden Design: We will jointly develop a garden design with you, encompassing the needs that fit the project in mind. This may
include soil types, garden aspect, shade, levels, hard landscaping, lawn
areas............garden use...........planting...........maintenance
needs.......lighting etc. We will explore options and thought provoking ideas to
enable the final profile of design to be realised in 4D. The final garden design will become the basis of a contract
between us.
Garden Landscaping and Groundwork: The
construction of the project may include the removal of existing layouts, paving,
shrubs etc, encompassing the need of mechanical diggers, powered equipment and
waste disposal skips. The area will be prepared and sculptured to meet the new
design which may have some or all of the following features included.

Planting
and Bedding
We will review all planting requests that you have and check
the suitability of each plant regarding its size, pest resistance, aspect tolerance
to sun and shade, etc. As landscape gardeners we will then develop a planting list to compliment the
garden and agree this with you before we place orders for supply. We will endeavour
to reuse any favourite existing plants.

Trees,
Shrubs and Climbers
Trees: Selected trees will be used to add structure and height
to the design, taking into account final size, shape and appeal. We will agree
the selection with you before we place orders for supply. Existing trees may
require certified arborist attention and local Council agreement re statutory
tree protection before work can begin to reshape or remove them.
Shrubs: Bushes and shrubs provide body to the garden.
Evergreen and deciduous plants offer varying attractiveness, backdrops and
screening. As with all planting we will agree the planting list with you.
Climbers: We can select suitable climbing plants to offer
scent, flower, cover of plain walls or unsightly views. They can be chosen for
flower, evergreen foliage, fragrance, colour and even security of boundary
limits.

Garden
Lawns
- Seed or Turf
Lawned areas will be incorporated into the design as agreed.
We only use high quality turf from our trusted turf suppliers. All new garden lawns will be laid
on a pre prepared bed. Turf or grass seed will be selected to suit the surrounding
environment (Shade etc) and the typical use expected (Ornamental, hardwearing
for children etc)

Paving,
Patios, Palisade, Steps and Walls
All outdoor areas need a place to sit and entertain. What
could be nicer than to take breakfast with the Sunday papers on your patio. We
can create hard landscaped areas to suit the garden style and to suit your
exacting needs using materials that will complement your house and your aesthetic
requirements.

Water Features, Ponds and Streams
Maybe your dream is to have a
Welsh slate monolith trickling with slow running water into a pebbled area, or
maybe a stream running through hosta beds. It could be that you intend to keep
Koi and would like a deep water Koi pond. We can discuss your ideas and develop
a practical and pleasing aquatic feature.

Pergolas, Arbours, Trellis, Fencing
and Decking
Timber, a natural
material, complements garden design and construction, allowing the opportunity to
build upwards and train plants and climbers to give height and a third dimension
to add interest. Trellis allows for 'soft' partitioning and again support for
climbing plants. Decking can offer an alternative to 'hard' paved patio areas
and has its place in the more contemporary garden. We can introduce wooden
structures into our landscape gardeners designs to complete the overall desired effect.

Garden
Maintenance
We recognise that not all
garden owners have the time, stamina or inclination to maintain their garden to
show it at its best. 4D Landscapes Ltd can help with the garden maintenance, either on a
regular basis or on an 'ad hoc' call out.
